Investment Verticals

Investments will be made across three verticals of regenerative food and agriculture:

Producer

Farming practices and technologies focused on soil health, biodiversity promotion, water retention, and carbon drawdown will become the dominant global paradigm moving forward. We see a beautiful future of de-commoditization and identity preservation of crops grown in a regenerative manner. Investable areas include: water/irrigation tech, Carbon/Biodiversity, biological fertilizers, pollination tech, novel farming (agroforestry, controlled environment ag, etc), and future farm implements/robotics.

Post-Producer

Outside the farm gate lay robust opportunities for investment in companies disrupting many of the issues complicating and harming the modern food and agriculture system. We see exciting opportunities to create replicable models of localized/regionalized food systems. Investable areas include: alternative proteins, processing tech, spoilage/waste tech, and supply chain logistics and digitization (AI/ML/predictive analytics).

Consumer

We see near-term exponential growth of consumer demand for food that is clean, nutrient-dense, gut microbiome beneficial, and grown in a way that builds soil health and farmer dignity. More and more consumers are waking up to the fact that food can be either medicine or poison, and the way in which that food is grown is paramount to soil and planetary health. Investable areas include: beyond organic CPG (ROC, Land to Market, Biodynamic), quality monitoring tech, digital procurement, direct-to-consumer, localization, and transparency/traceability.
